#45 - Activating agency with Leyla Acaroglu

We continue the keynote talk of Dr. Leyla Acaroglu backstage at the Service Design Global Conference in Copenhagen. Leyla founded The UnSchool, an experimental knowledge lab for adults and is CEO of creative agency, Disrupt Design.

As the first keynote speaker at the conference, she shook us awake with a provocative talk. We discuss sustainability, systemic change and ask about which big problems Leyla loves most.

Besides provoking, most of all, Leyla’s words are positively encouraging us to take action: as service designers and humans to make a difference. Take in her inspiration for activating your agency.

Check out the resources mentioned after listening to this episode:

  • The UnSchool, an experimental knowledge lab for positive impact that maximises social, economic, and environmental sustainability

  • The Hero Veg, a vegetarian and vegan-friendly cookbook about the opportunities that lie in sustainable food
